When to Notify the Doctor
Detailed discharge instructions will be reviewed with you prior to your child leaving the hospital. If at any time after discharge, you have questions or concerns regarding your child, please contact us immediately. We have staff available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.
Please contact the staff immediately if your child experiences any of the following symptoms:
- Fever of 101.5oF or 38.5oC
- Increased redness, swelling, drainage, bleeding, or warmth around the incision site
- Increased pain not relieved by the medication prescribed to control your child's pain

You may also contact the plastic surgery office directly at 573-882-2275 and ask for the plastic surgery resident on call.
